Completion Audit of Livelihood Restoration Plan – Salima Power Plant

Project Overview:

C12 Consultants is conducting an in-depth Completion Audit of JCM Power’s three-year Livelihood Restoration Plan for the Salima Power Plant. The audit assesses whether commitments to project-affected households were fully delivered in line with approved entitlements, IFC Performance Standards, and Malawian legislation.

To verify compliance with livelihood restoration commitments and confirm whether affected households have achieved sustainable restoration outcomes.


Methodologies:
Detailed document review, verification of entitlement delivery, household-level assessments, stakeholder consultations, and compliance analysis against IFC Performance Standard 5 and national legal requirements.


Outcomes:
Completion audit process underway, with findings documenting levels of compliance, gaps, and recommended corrective actions.


Results:
Strengthened accountability and assurance for investors, regulators, and communities, supporting long-term livelihood security for affected households.
